ST. LOUIS, Mo.— Carolyn Kindle, President and Chief Executive Officer of St. Louis CITY SC, will reign supreme over the 2023 St. Louis Mardi Gras season as Regina II (the second). She was installed as the honorary monarch at a special coronation event pitchside at CITYPARK on Thursday, January 26.

“Soulard Mardi Gras is one of St. Louis’s great traditions, attracting thousands of visitors to the region and showcasing what a world-class city like St. Louis has to offer,” said Kindle. “I couldn’t be more excited to represent such an iconic St. Louis institution that shares St. Louis CITY SC’s pride for the region and commitment to bringing the community together.”

Kindle is the first female President and CEO of a Major League Soccer club, overseeing all operational and business aspects of St. Louis’ new MLS team. In addition to leading CITY SC, Kindle maintains her current role as President of the Enterprise Holdings Foundation, the charitable arm of Enterprise Holdings, Inc. A tireless advocate for the St. Louis region, she also is a board member of the St. Louis Sports Commission, SSM Health, St. Louis Police Foundation, Regional Business Council and Greater St. Louis, Inc.

“We are so excited to welcome St. Louis’s newest home team to the region and to welcome Carolyn to the Soulard Mardi Gras family,” said Bess McCoy of the Mardi Gras Foundation Board. “Her devotion to the St. Louis community and commitment to promoting the region is unparalleled, and we are honored to have her serve as our newest Regina.”

Kindle succeeds Harrison Bader, former St. Louis Cardinals centerfielder, who served as St. Louis Mardi Gras Rex X (the tenth) from 2022-2023.
